Who's Who at Simplyprose

Adminstrator: *ThornyEnglishRose

:iconthornyenglishrose:

This is the woman who coordinates the project, finalises the prompts, writes and posts any *simplyprose deviations and updates the journal. Please send a note to her, rather than *simplyprose, if you wish to contact the project without a submission. All submissions must be noted to the *simplyprose account.

Please bear in mind that any staff positions that become available will be advertised. You may let *ThornyEnglishRose know if you wish to be contacted about future opportunities, but you will not be considered until such an opportunity comes up.

She is also the first port of call if you have a complaint. A more detailed complaints procedure appears at the bottom of this journal.

News Feature Coordinator: =julietcaesar

:iconjulietcaesar:

Each month, a news feature will be submitted through the *simplyprose account, giving a detailed showcase of pieces submitted to us. =julietcaesar is responsible for putting this feature together and submitting it.

This feature will emphasise the strongest aspects of your writing. The idea is, after all, to entice people to read your work.

Public Correspondence Coordinators: ~oblivion00 and =cel3131

:iconoblivion00::iconcel3131:

New watchers will receive a message from *simplyprose on their front page. That will be from one of these two members of our staff.

Besides this, every piece you submit to *simplyprose will be commented on by one of these two deviants, via the *simplyprose account. As such, they are representing all of us, but please remember that what they say reflects the opinions of one individual.

Remember also that you may only send us pieces inspired by *simplyprose prompts, and these are the only pieces on which you will receive comments and critique from *simplyprose.

You are asked to be very aware of how you set your comment preferences when uploading the deviation. When commenting, ~oblivion00 and =cel3131 will:
:bulletblue: respect these preferences absolutely.
:bulletblue: suggest points for improvement if you want advanced critique.
:bulletblue: be thorough, honest and tactful.
:bulletblue: leave one detailed comment only.

If you wish politely to disagree, of course this is your right. Leave a reply to make your opinion of your own work known, and *simplyprose will read it. However, we will not reply. Once both parties have given their views, we do not wish to engage anyone in debate.

If a *simplyprose staff member wishes to comment on your work via their own individual account, that is their right and it is between the author and that individual.

Complaints Procedure

I must ask you to consider carefully whether your complaint is legitimate before you make it. Our administrator would prefer only to receive complaints if:
:bulletblue: you are genuinely offended by something said about your work on behalf of *simplyprose.
:bulletblue: you feel that *simplyprose staff have not honoured the comment guidelines listed above.

In the event of either of these things happening, please do not target *simplyprose or engage our staff in a flame war. Instead, send a note to *ThornyEnglishRose. She will contact the staff member in question, and the issue will be resolved as peacefully and painlessly as possible.

Finally

Thank you for your continued support and participation. See our latest journal for the current prompts and submissions, and/or stop by and visit our sister project, *simplypoetry!

You should have a way for people to offer prompt ideas. :aww:

I may put a thread in the forum where people can suggest miscellaneous prompts, but not until we're all sorted with the other new stuff!
